FAQs from Individual Journalists

Why should I create a personal account on the jti:campus platform?

The main reason to register an individual account is to access content on the jti:campus, for example the directory of offers by Service Providers as well as the Knowledge Base.

After registration, my account is restricted and labelled as 'not validated' – what does that mean?

In order to access the jti:campus content you need validation by one Service Provider. This happens typically after you've participated in one of their offers. We require this personal acqaintance to join this community as a means to avoid misuse.

How can I get my account validated?

You will find a drop-down selection of Service Providers at the bottom of your landing page. Typically, you would select the one of which you have attended some of their courses or training previously. A request is then sent to the selected Service Provider, which can also be withdrawn and re-submitted.

Do I need to pay anything?

No. The usage of the jti:campus is free of charge.

What do you mean by Individual Journalist? Why would they join the JTI, which is for media outlets?

The jti:app and the process of Self-assessment, Public Disclosure and Certification is indeed designed for Media Outlets and their Legal Entities only. We are not supporting the Certification of individual journalists unless they consider themselves a Media Outlet. However, in order to make all assets in the jti:campus accessible to individuals, irrespective of their status or affiliation, we are offering this account type.

I am employed as a journalist. Can I still register? Do I need to ask my employer?

This is subject to the respective corporate policy. However it might make sense for different individuals, particularly in larger organizations, to register their own jti:campus accounts to be able to browse the offers and access the content.

FAQs from Coaches, Trainers and Consultants

My account is labelled as 'invisible' – what does that mean?

This means your account has not been validated yet. It will not be listed in the directory and thus not be visible for Media Outlets to find and reach out to you. However, Media Outlets can already connect with you directly by using your e-mail address that is affiliated with your account.

How can I become visible and why would I?

If you want to get listed in the 'Marketplace' directory you can request validation of your account by the JTI admin via the account settings. This may attract requests by Media Outlets to seek your support.

Do I need to pay anything?

No. The usage of the jti:campus is free of charge.

How can I advertise myself via the jti:campus?

You can get listed in the 'Marketplace' directory, but this requires validation of your account first. You can then create and edit your profile page including a short bio, social media handles and a profile picture.

How can I connect my account with a Media Outlet?

All requests by Media Outlets to connect will appear in your dashboard. You can then accept or reject each request individually.

If your account is not validated (yet), Media Outlets can already connect with you directly by using your e-mail address that is affiliated with your account.

Once connected with a Media Outlet, what can I do?

As a Coach you can access the questionnaire of all Media Outlets you are connected with. This means you can view the information provided by this outlet through their self-assessment and you can add notes to each answer, but not edit it directly.
